Why We Started
The founder of Royal Dia Global recognized the urgent need for affordable, high-quality sanitary pads to address the limited options available in Africa. Growing up in Eastlands, Nairobi, she experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing quality menstrual products, as only a few subpar options were available at the time.
Her perspective broadened while living abroad, where she had the privilege of experiencing a variety of superior products. This opened her eyes to the glaring gap in the third-world market for accessible and effective menstrual care.
She has personally dealt with heavy menstrual flows due to medical reasons since the age of 22, and understands the importance of comfort, confidence, and reliability in menstrual products. These experiences inspired her to create a solution that meets the needs of women across globe.
Even at a young age, she was passionate about giving back. She actively participated in donating sanitary pads to schools and orphanages across Kenya, using funds raised through family, friends, and church. This deep commitment to empowering young girls and women continues to drive the mission of Royal Dia Global—to make quality menstrual care accessible to all.
